The New York State Energy Smart Loan is offered through participating lenders at a discounted Annual Percentage Rate to finance approved energy-efficient improvement projects. NYS Energy Smart Loans are available at an Interest Rate Reduction of up to 4.0% less than our normal market interest rate on loans up to $20,000 for a term of up to ten (10) years. It cannot combine with high efficiency measure cash-back incentives.

Access to the Loan Fund is contingent upon prior approval in the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Program. Eligible Borrowers must contract the work to be completed by a Participating Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Contractor, and financing must be provided by a Participating Residential Loan Fund Lender. Loans may be obtained on a secured or unsecured basis, at the option of the Participating Lender and the Borrower.
